Management of Amiodarone-Induced Thyrotoxicosis at a Cardiac Transplantation Centre
Amiodarone-induced thyrotoxicosis (AIT) is associated with significant morbidity and mortality, particularly in patients with cardiac failure. The aim of the study was to evaluate the management of AIT at a tertiary hospital specialising in cardiac failure and transplantation.
High diabetes prevalence and insulin medication errors in hospital patients
The high prevalence of diabetes among inpatients mandates active detection and specialist management of diabetes during the admission.
Treatment of aggressive pituitary tumours and carcinomas: results of a European Society of Endocrinology (ESE) survey 2016
Objective: The largest published cohort of aggressive pituitary tumours and carcinomas. Confirms temozolomide as the most effective first-line chemotherapy option for these tumours. Poor efficacy of other drugs highlight need to identify additional treatments for affected patients.
